FAQ
What can I expect during my appointment?
What you can expect at your appointment depends on what you are coming in for. All new clients are asked to fill out a request for services form. You will then be invited into our comfortable client room where your advocate will ask you some questions to assess how we can best meet your needs. If you are here for a pregnancy test you will also need to sign a consent form.
What sort of pregnancy tests do you offer?
We use self-administered Mainline Confirms hGC pregnancy tests. This is a highly accurate test which can detect pregnancy hormones in your urine days before your missed period. You will be able to read the results within four minutes.
Do you work with an adoption agency?
Hope Pregnancy Center is not an adoption agency, nor are we affiliated with any adoption agency or agent. At your request we will provide referrals to multiple agencies.
Do you offer referrals for abortion or birth control?
Although we are committed to giving you the best and most accurate information on your abortion option, including information on pregnancy development, abortion procedures and sexual risk, we do not perform nor refer for abortion or birth control.
What is Earn While You Learn?
For clients who choose to parent we offer a parent mentoring program which allows you to meet with your client advocate on a regular basis to discuss parenting as well as relational and childcare issues. Each session is tailored to your particular needs and is very flexible. Some women choose to participate in regular private sessions in our Center and others prefer to attend Center approved community classes. In exchange for your participation you will earn"Baby Bucks" which are good for items in our extensive material assistance closet. You are welcome to attend by yourself or with a partner or friend.
Is HPC a religious organization?
Yes. However, we are not affiliated with any particular denomination and our advocates will only share their personal faith with you if you give them permission first!
How can you offer your services free of charge?
HPC is a 501(c)3 non-profit service organization. We receive most of our funds from individuals and organizations which have a heart for the community. Because we are a charitable organization people receive tax benefits through giving to us, and that means we never have to charge you for services you receive.
Are you affiliated with any other organizations?
Hope Pregnancy Center is affiliated with CareNet International, a non-profit organization which oversees Pregnancy Resource Centers around the world.
